At Weston Secondary School, we are proud to offer a strong, inclusive and nurturing environment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We believe that every child is unique and we celebrate the individual strengths, talents and qualities that each student brings to our school community. Alongside this, we work closely with students to help them overcome challenges, building their confidence, independence, and resilience so they can thrive both in school and beyond. We provide a personalised approach and are committed to ensuring that every student is known, understood and supported. By taking the time to build a detailed, individual picture of each student we can remove barriers to learning, provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom to ensure every student can achieve their full potential.
At Weston, we have high expectation and aspirations for all our students. We believe with the right support, encouragement and opportunities, all students can succeed academically, socially and personally. Our focus is not just on outcomes but developing well-rounded, confident independent individuals. We are fortunate to have a passionate and highly committed Inclusion Team who work tirelessly to support our students which includes dedicated in class support, small group interventions, 1:1 targeted support and pastoral and wellbeing provision. Together, our staff create a learning environment where students feel safe, supported and able to achieve.
