Ramadan 2026
At Weston Secondary School, we recognise that many of our families are preparing for the holy month of Ramadan as well as taking part in Sawm.
Designated prayer areas for boys and girls will be accessible at lunchtime so that students can complete their Dhuhr prayers. However, we have a limited number of prayer mats so your child may want to bring their own.
Please remind your child that if they wish to pray, they must respect the following rules:
• Only try to access the prayer rooms at lunch time.
• Before entering the designated prayer area, please remove shoes.
• Please do not bring food or drink into the designated prayer area.
• Please leave the designated prayer area as you found it and make sure that the room is clean and tidy when you leave. If your child will be fasting at school, please complete the form below as soon as possible in order for us to provide the right support.
Additionally, if your child will be fasting and is eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and you would like them to take home a packed lunch for Iftar, please inform us on the form. Last year, it was noticed that several of the FSM’s were not being collected. If your child is eligible and you have requested a FSM for Iftar please ensure it is collected from reception at the end of the day.
